[[OOC: Meme is in-character. The things in parenthetical italics is me. Everything else is Sark. Like you couldn't tell.]]

Part 1: The Basics

1. What is your full name? Julian Sark. It is, in fact, my real name.

2. Where and when were you born? The trouble with having identity papers forged so many times is that you tend to forget actual little details like that. I'm fairly certain I was born in June of 1981. I'm not entirely certain of the where, however.

3. Who are/were your parents? I don't know who my mother was. My father was an apparatchik whose ancestry could be traced back to the Romanov line, which left him with considerable wealth. Whatever he was, however, I meant nothing to him and, as such, he means nothing to me.

4. Do you have any siblings? What are/were they like? Knowing nothing of my father beyond the fact that he had at least one mistress (my mother), I can't honestly say for certain. I could have a dozen half-siblings in Eastern Europe or I could my father's sole mistake. I doubt it really matters.

5. Where do you live now, and with whom? I don't really live anywhere. I go where the work is. I'm quite accustomed to living out of nice hotel rooms and borrowed apartments. I don't mind it so much.

6. What is your occupation? Businessman.

7. Write a full physical description of yourself. You might want to consider factors such as: height, weight, race, hair and eye color, style of dress, and any tattoos, scars, or distinguishing marks: I refuse to do this on the basis that it's both ridiculous and absolutely pointless.

8. To which social class do you belong? I'm descended from royalty by blood, whether my father claims me or not, so I suppose that puts me in a higher social class by default, but I really don't particularly belong to any. I suppose I'm well-off, but I run in whatever circles will get a job done, so it's really hard to pin it down.

9. Do you have any allergies, diseases, or other physical weaknesses? None, really. I used to be a very sickly child, because England didn't agree with me, but I eventually grew out of it. I suppose being nearly incapable of resisting certain tortures a physical weakness...

10. Are you right- or left-handed? Ambidextrous.

11. What does your voice sound like? Very, very English. And contrary to what anyone might tell you, I do not sound like I haven't gone through puberty yet. (Lies.)

12. What words and/or phrases do you use very frequently? I don't know... And that wasn't a response, I really don't know. (He starts a lot of sentences with "I must admit..." or "I suppose...")

13. What do you have in your pockets? Very little.

14. Do you have any quirks, strange mannerisms, annoying habits, or other defining characteristics? I tend to look up when I'm talking to people I respect or am trying to impress, even if they're shorter than I am. My jaw tends to twitch when I get annoyed. I blink excessively when I'm talking and blink very little when I'm not... And why am I admitting all of this? (Because I told you to and you already got away with no answering the physical description question?)

Part 2: Growing Up

15. How would you describe your childhood in general? It was lovely if you consider a childhood based in abuse and parental abandonment to be sheer bliss. I doubt I could say that I even had an actual childhood, considering how quickly I needed to grow up.

16. What is your earliest memory? The vague memories I have of my father, mostly. None of them pleasant.

17. How much schooling have you had? I attended a prestigious boarding school in England and was far ahead of my class by the age of thirteen. After that, I was taken in by Irina Derevko who saw to the rest of my schooling personally. I'm well-educated, but most of my education isn't from traditional schooling.

18. Did you enjoy school? I was the youngest in my class, small, frail, and smarter than almost all of the other students and occasionally some of the teachers, and found it difficult to find a challenge for my blind ambitions. What do you think?

19. Where did you learn most of your skills and other abilities? Irina. Some of it was picked up by trial and error in the field, but mostly it was Irina.

20. While growing up, did you have any role models? Just Irina, really. She taught me everything I knew and she saved me from whatever sham of a life I might have had if she hadn't picked me up. I owe her everything and respect her above all else.

21. While growing up, how did you get along with the other members of your family? I didn't know my mother and knew very little of my father, but as what little memory I have of him involves abuse and abandonment, I doubt I could say we were close.

22. As a child, what did you want to be when you grew up? Anything that would prove to my father that I wasn't absolutely worthless as a human being. As I grew older, that evolved into anything that could earn me respect and challenge me.

23. As a child, what were your favorite activities? I read more often than not. Literature, poetry, anything I could possibly get my hands on. I couldn't go home for the summer, because there was no real home for me to go back to, so I spent my summers in the school's library, because I couldn't stand England's climate long enough to be outside. I think I might have read every book there by the time I left.

24. As a child, what kinds of personality traits did you display? I was quiet, aloof, and I think I unnerved everyone around me into either avoiding me or trying to pick fights with me (which, being that this came before my training, I lost). I know I intimidated more than a few of my teachers and made the other half despise me for one thing or another. (In my defense, the literature professor at that school was an idiot and if a ten-year-old could spot the flaws in his analysis than he clearly deserved to have those flaws called to attention.)

25. As a child, were you popular? Who were your friends, and what were they like? No. Most of the children either found me ripe for tormenting or avoided me and I was plagued with far too little trust to even attempt to get close to anyone.

26. When and with whom was your first kiss? I attended a ball with Irina as part of a cover for an operation when I was fifteen- it was technically my first mission, even if I was only shadowing. While I was there, I was abducted by a girl my age who decided I was the perfect rebound for her date. She was rather forceful kisser, if I recall. Of course, her date took issue with her actions and thought it best to pick a fight. I broke his hand.

27. Are you a virgin? If not, when and with whom did you lose your virginity? When I was seventeen to Irina's younger sister. She was twice my age and she instigated it, but I can't say that I wasn't willing, if only because I knew it would annoy Irina. (I was irritated with her at the time, because she left me behind.) It seems ridiculously petty now, honestly.

28. If you are a supernatural being (i.e. mage, werewolf, vampire), tell the story of how you became what you are or first learned of your own abilities: I'm perfectly human, thank you.

Part 3: Past Influences

29. What do you consider the most important event of your life so far? When Irina pulled me out of boarding school and initiated my training.

30. Who has had the most influence on you? Irina.

31. What do you consider your greatest achievement? Being extremely successful and renowned in a dangerous business at a very young age.

32. What is your greatest regret? I don't have any. (LIES. LIES.)

33. What is the most evil thing you have ever done? I'm not going to judge my own actions. This is all business to me. If you want an answer to that question, I'm sure Agent Bristow will be happy to give you one.

34. Do you have a criminal record of any kind? A very extensive one.

35. When was the time you were the most frightened? I'm not going to answer that and you can't make me. (God, I dunno. He was tortured pretty extensively when he was seventeen when he got captured trying to assassinate a German cell leader, and that shook him up pretty badly. He's had some really close scares since then, but that was probably the moment when it really hit him how one fuck up could kill him.)

36. What is the most embarrassing thing ever to happen to you? I consider any failure or anything that causes my competence to be called into question to be an embarrassment, but beyond that, nothing.

37. If you could change one thing from your past, what would it be, and why? I consider even the darker moments in my past to be learning experiences, so I imagine there's not much I really ought to change if only because those events made me who I am. I rather like who I am.

38. What is your best memory? My first successful mission. It was an adrenaline rush like I've never felt before, and it made me feel like someone for the first time in my life.

39. What is your worst memory? When Irina sold me out to the CIA and then abandoned me, after she promised that she'd find some way to extract me.

Part 4: Beliefs And Opinions

40. Are you basically optimistic or pessimistic? I'm realistic.

41. What is your greatest fear? Dying.

42. What are your religious views? I'm an atheist. I haven't had any reason to believe in God or any higher power. In fact, I only subscribe the whole Rambaldi obsession, because it's Irina's lifework and I respect her passions.

43. What are your political views? I only have interest in politics when politics greatly effect my business endeavors. I could care less about American politics, but if there's an upheaval in Kashmir, I can be persuaded to find an interest in it for the sake of a potential business venture.

44. What are your views on sex? I enjoy it. (What he won't say is that he isn't the sort of person who sleeps around just to get a fix- he likes stable relationships, even though he really fails at them.)

45. Are you able to kill? Under what circumstances do you find killing to be acceptable or unacceptable? I'm perfectly able to kill without remorse or regret, but I only kill when I have a job to do or when someone is in my way or threatens me. (Or if it's someone he cares about.) I find it completely unacceptable to kill at random, however.

46. In your opinion, what is the most evil thing any human being could do? I don't think I'm in any position to judge, and it's all relative, isn't it?

47. Do you believe in the existence of soul mates and/or true love? I'm not really that much of a romantic.

48. What do you believe makes a successful life? Surviving and never losing your drive and ambition to succeed.

49. How honest are you about your thoughts and feelings (i.e. do you hide your true self from others, and in what way)? I tend to keep my emotions locked away, because they get in the way of the job. I don't open up to people unless I have a good reason to, which is to say, I (almost) never do. Truthfully, I don't trust people enough to let them see past my defenses, because that gives them an advantage over me.

50. Do you have any biases or prejudices? I tend to look down on people who aren't at my intellectual level or don't hold my interest in some way, but beyond that, not really.

51. Is there anything you absolutely refuse to do under any circumstances? Why do you refuse to do it? Do you want a list? There are dozens upon dozens of things I refuse to do, mostly because they're either ridiculous or pointlessly whimsical. (I'm pretty sure that list involves "EVERYTHING FUN EVER." Sark's sense of whimsy apparently doesn't go past a love of Watership Down and occasional indulgence in classic American cinema.)

52. Who or what, if anything, would you die for (or otherwise go to extremes for)? Absolutely nothing.

Part 5: Relationships With Others

53. In general, how do you treat others (politely, rudely, by keeping them at a distance, etc.)? Does your treatment of them change depending on how well you know them, and if so, how? I tend to be coldly aloof and often sarcastic to most people, respectful, obedient, and polite to my superiors, and I suppose my definition of friendliness to the people I find either fascinating or enjoyable to be around might be considered suspect. (Yeah, because being a snarky asshole IS NOT BEING FRIENDLY, SARK.)

54. Who is the most important person in your life, and why? Irina. Even though she abandoned me, I still owe her everything.

55. Who is the person you respect the most, and why? Also Irina. See above.

56. Who are your friends? Do you have a best friend? Describe these people. I don't have friends. I have assets and colleagues. (Apparently the names Allison Doren and Lauren Reed mean nothing. Nope. He wasn't in love with them or extremely close to them- and now he's glaring at me.)

57. Do you have a spouse or significant other? If so, describe this person. I've never been married and I don't intend to be, although I could easily stay with one person for long periods of time, the idea of actual marriage seems painfully domestic to me.

58. Have you ever been in love? If so, describe what happened. Yes. It doesn't matter. They're both dead, and I suspect one of them didn't love me nearly as much as I loved her. (And apparently he will just totally skim over the GIANT EPIC GIRLCRUSH ON SYDNEY.... And the glaring  continues.)

59. What do you look for in a potential lover? I find domineering, intelligent, competent women to be extremely attractive. (Women who remind him of Irina- Oedipus complex much?)

60. How close are you to your family? Not very. Didn't I answer this?

61. Have you started your own family? If so, describe them. If not, do you want to? Why or why not? Absolutely not. I'm far too young to be considering such a thing and I wouldn't want to even if I wasn't. I'm in no position to have children, and I'm of the opinion that I would be a terrible father.

62. Who would you turn to if you were in desperate need of help? I only rely on myself in even the worst of situations.  I'm the only person I can trust.

63. Do you trust anyone to protect you? Who, and why? No. People don't protect me- even she won't. As I said, I don't trust anyone other than myself and I'm the only person I count on. If I can't protect myself, then I'm as good as dead.

64. If you died or went missing, who would miss you? That's the part that frightens me most about dying. The fact that I'm fairly certain that no one would and it would be like I never existed at all. (He almost didn't answer this one. I had to force it out of him.)

65. Who is the person you despise the most, and why? Michael Vaughn ranks fairly high for purely petty reasons that I won't bother to disclose. Often, I find myself hating Sydney Bristow for completely different reasons and not the reasons most people would immediately assume. (Unless you just knew he had an epic crush on her and is jealous that Irina loves her own daughter more than she loves him- HE HAS ISSUES.)

66. Do you tend to argue with people, or avoid conflict? I only argue with people when I'm right and I'm determined to make sure they understand this.

67. Do you tend to take on leadership roles in social situations? No.

68. Do you like interacting with large groups of people? Why or why not? No. I can be made to do well in crowds if it's part of operational procedure, but when I'm not working, I'd rather prefer to work alone or with a very small team. Large teams are cumbersome and difficult to manage.

69. Do you care what others think of you? Not as a general rule, although I do care what my superiors think of me if only because what they think of me decides whether I live or die, more often than not.

Part 6: Likes And Dislikes

70. What is/are your favorite hobbies and pastimes? I don't have a lot of time for hobbies, but when I have free time, there's nothing I enjoy more than fine wine and a good book.

71. What is your most treasured possession? I don't tend to keep anything of sentimental value- I move too often to have too many possessions.

72. What is your favorite color? I have a fondness for black... And not because it matches my soul.

73. What is your favorite food? I don't really have one. I have specific preferences, I suppose, in where exactly I dine, but I try to vary my choices. I like the experience of trying new things.

74. What, if anything, do you like to read? Classics, mostly, especially by Russian authors. I have a soft spot for poetry of all sorts, as well. I will admit to the fact that I have read Watership Down more times than I really want to discuss.

75. What is your idea of good entertainment (consider music, movies, art, etc.)? I have a fondness for classic art, but modern art does nothing for me, and I'm decades behind on the film industry. Music is... Another story entirely. (HE LISTENS TO CREEDANCE CLEARWATER REVIVAL. Also his playlist pretty clearly indicates the sort of music he really likes.)

76. Do you smoke, drink, or use drugs? If so, why? Do you want to quit? I drink wine and champagne whenever possible, but not to the point where I'm addicted, I'm just partial to both. I'm more or less a social drinker and will drink almost anything in social situations, whether I like it or not. Beyond that, however, I tend to shy away from drugs or cigarettes. My body is, more or less, a tool, and I'm not going to needlessly damage it.

77. How do you spend a typical Saturday night? There is never any typical when it comes to my life.

78. What makes you laugh? Very little.

79. What, if anything, shocks or offends you? I'm very often offended by people misjudging my abilities and competence based purely on my age.

80. What would you do if you had insomnia and had to find something to do to amuse yourself? I don't sleep very well in general and if I can't, I find something productive to do. Either that or I take a long walk or read.

81. How do you deal with stress? If I'm out in the field, I hold it back and try to deal with the situation as rationally as I can. If I'm stressed and alone, I've found that singing- very quietly- calms me down. (And if he's tortured and on the verge of being killed, HE FREAKS THE FUCK OUT.)

82. Are you spontaneous, or do you always need to have a plan? I like having plans, but I don't mind taking risks if I can deem them acceptable in the circumstance. I tend to avoid spontaneity, however.

83. What are your pet peeves? Being told that I took too young to be in this business, not being taken seriously, being put in situations that call my competence into question, being backed into a corner... I don't need to go on or else we'll be here all night.

Part 7: Self Images And Etc.

84. Describe the routine of a normal day for you. How do you feel when this routine is disrupted? As I said before, nothing about my life is typical or normal. I lack stability in any way.

85. What is your greatest strength as a person? My competence.

86. What is your greatest weakness? My often crippling fear of dying.

87. If you could change one thing about yourself, what would it be? I'm fine with myself.

88. Are you generally introverted or extroverted? Introverted. Obviously.

89. Are you generally organized or messy? I'm extremely organized.

90. Name three things you consider yourself to be very good at, and three things you consider yourself to be very bad at. Good: Murder, taking orders, almost anything to do with my line of work. (THAT IS MORE THAN THREE THINGS, YOU ARROGANT BASTARD.) Bad: Dealing with emotions/people, using short-range firearms (I'm better with long-range), and handling torture.

91. Do you like yourself? Yes.

92. What are your reasons for being an adventurer (or doing the strange and heroic things that RPG characters do)? Are your real reasons for doing this different than the ones you tell people in public? ....I find this question pointless and I am going to skip it, and you're not going to complain about it. (....No argument there.)

93. What goal do you most want to accomplish in your lifetime? I just want to have made some sort of impact so that I don't just fade into oblivion.

94. Where do you see yourself in 5 years? Hopefully, still at the top of my game and not incarcerated again.

95. If you could choose, how would you want to die? If I could choose, I'd choose not to. (You can't choose- Oh, I'm not even going to argue this.)

96. If you knew you were going to die in 24 hours, name three things you would do in the time you had left. Find someone who might be able to prevent it (I have hundreds of contacts- surely someone might know something), tell Sydney something I would never tell her otherwise, find some means to ensure that I burn out and don't just fade away.

97. What is the one thing for which you would most like to be remembered after your death? I just want to be remembered.

98. What three words best describe your personality? Proud, obedient, and I suppose I should say sarcastic.

99. What three words would others probably use to describe you? Cocky, pretentious, and, oh, I suppose quite a few others might describe me as evil, even though that's not entirely fair.

100. If you could, what advice would you, the player, give to your character? (Anything I could possibly say, he won't listen to, so what's the point?)
