He really, really doesn't. It's sad. There's really no such thing from his standpoint. There's just surviving and doing his job.

I do too. And yeah, he does... Badly. He is not a functional human being by any means, and I doubt it's going to make him more functional, but it's going to shove in his face that, "Yes, this is what you do to people. This is how bad it feels. This is what it's like to actually lose something and have it all be your fault." It's something he needs to learn and Sark's one of those people who has to learn the hard way, because... He's been programmed NOT to think in those terms and you have to pretty much utterly break him again to make him stop thinking in those terms.

....That totally made sense. I think. I'm trying to write this while simultaneously staring at my clock to make sure I don't let the time get away from me like I do.
